The program, in partnership with the Southeastern Massachusetts Affordable Housing Corporation and the Old Colony YMCA YouthBuild program, was well received and funded through grants and loans from HUD's Neighborhood Stabilization Program, the Paul & Phyllis Fireman Charitable Foundation, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, the City of Brockton's HOME program and the Rockland Trust.
By spring 2009, we and our partners rehabilitated four triple-decker buildings, made the 12 rentable apartments ready for occupancy, and took another step forward in the revitalization of our city.
