Enhancing internal communications

We started an employee newsletter named Team Works BHA in 2008 that helped keep BHA team members informed and engaged in new and emerging policies, trainings and other important news. Cynthia McDonagh, the head of our Family Self-Sufficiency program, took on the role of editor and published two editions for the first year of operation.

Housing for mentally disabled persons

Construction was underway in 2009 on a $1.4 million special needs housing project at our Belair Tower residence. In planning for 10 years, the special needs housing for eight Department of Mental Health clients will soon be a reality.

Home building initiatives   

The revitalization of our Our Pleasant Prospect neighborhood reached a milestone of 40 homes in 2008. Read the full story here .

With HOME Program funding, we built seven new homes in three Brockton neighborhoods in 2008.
