

Covering a wide range of topics, the 2009 courses included:
- A public housing manager course that taught skills for managing the financial and physical aspects of public residences, including project budgets and accounts, collection of receivables and vacancy reduction
- A risk management training devoted to identifying and preventing common insurance risks
- A safe driver training provided to 16 employees who regularly drive BHA vehicles
- A high rise safety training that taught over 250 BHA elderly residents how to act in the event of fires and other emergencies
- A lead-based paint compliance training at which employees learned about the current federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to lead-based paint and its hazards
- A seminar devoted to personal safety in the workplace
- A 12-hour OSHA training and certification course attended by all Maintenance Staff and Asset Managers
- A two-day senior management leadership workshop attended by all directors
