Regional Associations

We work together with a number of community-minded organizations in order to improve the quality of Brockton neighborhoods and the quality of life for those who live in them.

Southeastern Massachusetts Affordable Housing Corporation - SMAHC is a non-profit housing developer that builds and renovates housing for low- and moderate-income and offers a number of housing-related services. Read about our partnership with SMAHC and read about the related completion of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program in 2013. 

Old Colony YMCA - Recreational, athletic and community programs. The YMCA's community programs include YouthBuild, through which young people can learn construction skills, earn their GED, and build homes for sale to qualifying low-income families.

Brockton Redevelopment Authority - Responsible for locating suitable city-owned property or purchasing private property to convert into individual homes and rental properties for low- and moderate-income families.

Brockton Family and Community Resources - The BFCR provides Brockton-area children, adolescents and adults with mental health, substance abuse and domestic violence services. www.brocktonfamilyandcommunityresources.com

Brockton Area Multi-Services Inc . - A private, non-profit corporation offering a network of services that help improve life quality and sense of self-worth for individuals and families in Massachusetts, including those with disabilities.

Plymouth County District Attorney - The PCDA collaborates with government and community organizations to address crime and quality-of-life issues. Programs include the Brockton Safe Neighborhood Initiative and Operation Weed and Seed.

Brockton Police Department - The BPD, in addition to providing traditional police services, works in partnership with government and community organizations to develop and run innovative educational programs aimed at preventing crime and involving Brockton residents in worthwhile activities.
