Caffrey Towers a 317-apartment residence for elders comprised of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Twenty are barrier free. Caffrey Towers is located on the BAT bus line and is within walking distance of numerous stores, restaurants and the Massasoit Community College. Building amenities include a hair salon, laundry and 24-hour emergency maintenance. Free dial-a-bat service takes residents to Shaw’s Supermarket on Wednesdays and Walgreens on Thursdays. Old Colony Elderly Services provide a hot lunch program in the Community Center five days per week. Caffrey’s Tenants Association provides regular activities such as Bingo twice a week, monthly meetings, cook-outs, movie night and several holiday festivities. The association also participates in a once-a-month food distribution in conjunction with the Greater Boston Food Bank. Both Caffrey buildings have laundry rooms and hair salons.

She has been recognized by the Department of Veterans Affairs for her work with disabled veterans in public housing, receiving its 15-year and 20-year Dedicated Service Awards. Her memberships and accreditations include:
